International Conference on Language and Culture (ICLC) Language is power in ways more literal than most people think. Currently ‘empowerment’ is one of the most frequently adopted overarching goals in English language teaching to have English Language Learners become as confident expressing themselves in English as in their own native language. The rapid development of Language and Culture brings its own harmony and uniqueness. Therefore, there is a need to have a forum for discussing and sharing the ideas and thoughts. To fulfill that need, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Sumatera Utara initiates to hold an international conference related to language and culture.
